THE POSITION
Responsible for underwriting commercial property and casualty insurance products to support brokerages and clients directly, the Commercial Agent:
- Prepares new business quotes for commercial property and casualty as well as some auto.
- Processes renewals, prices and underwrites client policies according to company guidelines and standards.
- Provides comparative analysis of coverage options to new or existing clientele.
- Engages with team members and clients directly answering coverage inquiries and processing policy revisions.
MUST HAVES
- Alberta Insurance Council – General Insurance License Level 1 or 2.
- Familiarity and understanding of commercial insurance policies.
- 3+ years experience as a commercial lines underwriter OR producer.
- Chartered Insurance Professional designation or in process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient time management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
